BlackSea Technologies Hosts Rear Admiral Ryan Perry for Executive Engagement Visit
Mission Solutions President Bob Pudney shows Rear Admiral Ryan Perry around the facility in Fort Lauderdale.
BlackSea Technologies had the honor of hosting Rear Admiral Ryan Perry, U.S. Navy Chief of Information, last week at their location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His visit was part of the Navy's Executive Engagement Visit (EEV) program, which facilitates interaction between military leaders and executives from the corporate, government, and civic sectors.
Rear Admiral Perry, a Fort Lauderdale native, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1997. He holds a master's degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College and has an extensive background in public affairs and military communication. Perry has served in high-profile roles, including as the force public affairs officer for Naval Special Warfare and the fleet public affairs officer for U.S. Third Fleet. He also supported critical operations in both Afghanistan and Haiti, serving as a public affairs officer in the field during major military operations. In 2022, Perry was appointed Navy Chief of Information, where he continues to lead the Navy’s public communication efforts.
During his visit, Admiral Perry met with BlackSea’s Mission Solutions team, including Bob Pudney, Mike Oberhelman, Pat Reagan, and Bryan Green. He learned about the team’s ongoing contributions to national defense and the community while touring the warehouse and OCEANUS V—a 170-foot mission support vessel featuring a large deck, 20,000-pound crane capacity, and accommodations for 12 personnel.
BlackSea Technologies is proud to have hosted Admiral Perry and and is grateful for his time and insights.
